ImPACT Testing - Spring Sports
27 Feb from YHS - Spring
ImPACT is a baseline concussion test which can be used by our athletic trainer in the case of a suspected head injury as part of the return-to-play protocols.
Students will get instructions from their coach specifically about which date to attend, but generally information on available sessions is below. Students must have an ImPACT baseline on file before the first scrimmage or game.
All 8th, 9th and 11th graders plus anyone new to Yorktown sports (in any grade level) must be tested in person on one of these dates. Students who were already tested this school year for another sport need not be tested again this school year.
The test takes 30-40 minutes and students need to bring their Macbook/laptop and be on time. 8th graders will be provided a laptop.
Students can attend any session if they are unable to make their team’s specifically referenced session.
Unfortunately, we can’t accept late students as it disrupts those taking the test. Those who arrive late will be asked to attend a session on another day.
